Olmert to be Questioned by Police Again this Friday

Olmert to be Questioned by Police Again this Friday

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is scheduled to be questioned by police this coming Friday, for a seventh time, in the ongoing investigations against him. The session is expected to last at least 2.5 hours.

Police in the coming weeks are expected to recommend a criminal indictment against Olmert, who is under investigation in the Talansky affair, Rishon Tours, and his real estate investments.

Moshe Talansky, who gave testimony against Olmert in the Jerusalem District Court, is not expected to return on Sunday, acting upon the advice of his attorneys. Talansky fears incriminating himself in Israel may result in criminal charges being filed against him in the United States.

Talansky has requested from Israeli authorities to obtain a guarantee from the United States that his testimony in Israel will not be used against him in the US. Israeli officials are awaiting a decision from American officials.
