R' Avraham Ovadia Z"L, the brother of Chacham�Ovadia Yosef Shlita was Niftar today at the age of 80.
R' Avraham Ovadia Z"L worked as a government accountant for the Jerusalem Municipality, searved as the Gabbai of his shul in the Shmuel Ha'Navi area of Yerushalayim, was Kovea I'itm L'torah, and an Osek Bitzarche Tzibur. For the last eight years of his life,�the Niftar lived in Neve Simcha, an old age home in Yerushalayim.
He is survived by his two children, a son and a daughter.
Many Rabbanim attended the Levaya - including Rav�Shlomo Amar, Rav Yonah Metzger, and Rav Reuven Elbaz.
Chacham�Ovadia Yosef will be sitting Shivah in his home due to feeling weak, while the remaining Aveilim will be sitting Shiva elsewhere.
