The Valley National Bank located on Avenue J near East 15th Street has just been robbed. The NYPD has called for a Level 1 Mobilization Response, and are looking for a black male, 5'9, wearing a cap and sunglasses. He is approximately 180 pounds, and in his mid 30's. Sources on the scene confirm to YWN that the man passed a note to the teller, and made off with an unknown amount of cash. There was no "dye pack" in the money given to the man.
It is unknown if there was any weapon displayed.
There have been numerous bank robberies on that street in the past year.
