Following are the funeral arrangements for some of the Mumbai terror Kedoshim as announced at 2:00pm Monday (Israel time). While the information should be final, there is still much uncertainty surrounding many factors, such as the arrival of the plane from Mumbai and the inspection of the bodies at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute to name a few.
The funeral for Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg HY?D and Rivka Holtzberg HY?D will take place at Kfar Chabad on Tuesday, 5 Kislev, at 10:30am.
The funeral of Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Teitlebaum HY?D will take place at 2:00pm on Tuesday, 5 Kislev, in Meah Shearim, at the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Beis Medresh (Miriam HaNeviyah Street). The Kvura will be in Har HaZeisim.
The Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe Shlita very much wanted to have the levaya today, Monday, but he realized the plane from Mumbai is not scheduled to return to Eretz Yisrael until 10:00pm-11:00pm Monday night. From the airport, the bodies will be taken "for a final inspection? to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute.
The Rebbe felt that if the funeral was held in the middle of the night, it would result in too much bitul torah the following morning. The funeral was therefore set for 2:00pm, after the Kollelim are done to minimize bitul torah.
Hespedim will be delivered by many rabbonim including the Rebbe Shlita and the Volover Rebbe Shlita, who is the father of Rav Aryeh Leibish.
Prior to the levaya, the Eida Chareidis Beis Din will convene in the home of Rav Brandsdorfer Shlita to 'matir his wife', which will be done following the beis din making a positive identification of the body.
