Some survivors of the U.S. Airways flight that was forced to make an emergency landing in the Hudson River earlier this month say they are upset about what the airline is doing to compensate them after their harrowing ordeal.
The New York Post reports the passengers of Flight 1549 received letters from the airline offering them a year of first-class status.
The upgrade allows each passenger and a companion to fly first class when seats are available on domestic flights, as well as one upgrade to Europe or Hawaii for choice seats.
Some survivors who spoke with the New York Post say a year is not long enough; they should at least get the free upgrades for life.
Others say the upgrades are useless because they never plan to fly again.
The passengers were also given $5,000 to compensate for lost luggage.
