IDF Golani Brigade soldier Staff-Sergeant Dvir Emanueliof, 22, from Givat Ze�ev, was killed in the fighting. 35 soldiers were wounded in the fighting. Five soldiers are listed in serious condition.
50 rockets were fired into southern Israeli areas by terrorists based in Gaza. Three Israelis sustained shrapnel injuries and tens are suffering from shock as a result of the attacks. Over 400 rockets were fired at Israel since the start of the offensive on motzei Shabbos.
The air force struck over 45 targets in Hamas-controlled Gaza. Israel reports 40 terrorists were eliminated on Sunday, bringing the death tool to 520.
