While nothing is final yet, following is a look at what appears will be the incoming cabinet.
Binyamin Netanyahu will serve as the next prime minister, Avigdor Lieberman (Yisrael Beitenu) as foreign minister, Moshe Ya'alon (Likud) as defense minister, Eli Yishai (Shas) as interior minister, Ariel Atias (Shas) housing minister, Dr. Uzi Landau (Yisrael Beitenu) as minister of national infrastructure, Stas Misezhnikov (Yisrael Beitenu) as tourism minister, Yitzchak Aharonovitch (Yisrael Beitenu) as minister of public security, Yitzchak Cohen (Shas) as minister of religious services, and Gideon Saar (Likud) as minister of education.
Coalition negotiators are signaling that a deal with Yisrael Beitenu and Shas is close and the incoming prime minister is expected to officially present his government coalition to President Shimon Peres next week.
Likud and Yisrael Beitenu negotiators are scheduled to meet in Kfar Maccabia on Thursday afternoon at which time a deal might be signed, but first, an agreement must be reached pertaining to the justice ministry slot.
